Centre Ranks #19 in 2014 Houston Fast 100
Three years ago, Centre Technologies was proudly recognized as one of the 2011 Houston’s Fast 100, a listing by the Houston Business Journal (HBJ) that recognizes the fastest growing private businesses in the city. At the time, Centre had experienced a two year growth of 350%, earning its a spot at #4.
On September 11th, 2014, Centre Technologies learned that it placed #19 on HBJ’s 2014 Houston Fast 100 at the awards presentation in the Hilton Americas.
In an interview with HBJ, Centre’s CEO Chris Pace says that he credits his A-player employees with the company’s success. Centre Technologies implements a flat management structure, and no employee is more than two or three levels below the CEO. Pace credits his company’s award-winning growth to Centre’s investment in its talent via internal promotion, certification stipends, and in-house professional development.
The Houston Fast 100 article, titled "Meet the Fast 100: Houston tech company credits employees with growth" says, “Houston-based Centre Technologies has already added 10 employees since submitting its Fast 100 application just over one month ago, bringing the company's total employment to 110. This is up from 70 last year. The new hires have been worth it: The company reported revenue of $33,381,698 in 2013” (Henry, M., 2014)
