Meet Nathan Chustz: Project Manager @ Centre

Written by Emily Kirk | August 8, 2023

We're excited to introduce you to Nathan Chustz, someone who from the beginning to the end of his day, is working tirelessly to accomplish his goals. He works alongside our sales team and our delivery team to make sure the task gets done right the first time. His eye for the little things (like his favorite movie directors!) and the passion he has for completing tasks efficiently make him someone we're honored to call one of our teammates.

Like our last @ Centre feature, Nathan strives to create a seamless flow between our services and your delivery. He also has to be one of the most diverse personalities we have at Centre! Alongside his project management abilities, he also has a deep knowledge of movie magic (need a fun fact for your next movie trivia night? See his answer to the first question below!) and expressing ideas in a creative way. We love that about him. As proud of his contributions to our culture as we are, we know you're going to love learning about the in-depth details of his personality he imparts. He's a cool one. Meet Nathan Chustz!

If you could have dinner with anyone alive or dead, who would you choose and why?

Steven Spielberg. The way that he makes a movie and can convey his idea of "the perfect shot" is amazing. The director's perspective is what he wants the viewer to see. The director builds his idea into a working moment in time that he can only see until it is on paper, storyboard, or film. Spielberg does this so well.

I mean, who doesn't get goosebumps from watching the scene where Dr. Alan Grant first sees the brachiosaurus? That scene in Jurassic Park gets me every time as well. Another on is in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Arc. The scene where Indiana Jones is in the town market and the man with a scimitar confronts him. Little known fact is that Harrison Ford was to have a fight scene, however, he was sick with the flu and decided to discuss the change. We know that Indiana Jones pulls out his pistol and no fight scene is there. It's all about expressing an idea.

How would you describe your role’s impact on Centre customers?

I am responsible for being the gap between sales and delivery as well as coordinating with the delivery team, sales team, and client to make sure what Centre sells is the main idea that was expressed or needed (see how the director and viewer tie in? I get to be the director in my position!).

I am passionate about completion. I have always been very passionate about completing lists and making sure that it is accurate. In projects, we have many things to review and check. My goals are for customers and the company to be successful by setting and accomplishing the right expectations every time . If we know what we are getting into, we can predict and expect certain results.

The way I would see it is back to the #ONETEAM mentality. As long as we are all on the same page together and with our clients, we can solve any issue or complete the project.

Project Manager at Centre Technologies

If you go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Japan, I love everything about it. I am a huge fan of the cars and the entire culture in general. It is the complete opposite of what I grew up with.

I grew up with watching Anime shows, watching Fast and Furious Movies. The least enjoyed movie by most is Tokyo Drift however, that movie is more skilled in the driving compared to the others. There wasn't secret agents or anything wild, aside from the driving.

I also love the food, I am a huge fan of the region being that it is just about the opposite side of the world. Plus, I bet my wife and kids would have a blast going there.

If you could only play one game for the rest of your life, which one and why?

Red Dead Redemption 2. Anything that Rockstar Games makes is typically gold and relevant for at least 10 years. A little fun fact about gaming companies, Rockstar is one that releases the game in full without having to pay for DLC. The only additional cost outside of a game would be microtransactions to buy in game currency.

In your own words, how would you describe Centre’s differentiators?

Since onboarding with Centre, I can say everything has been a breath of fresh air. I can also confidently say that our team here is special to where we understand each other and can solve any misunderstandings. Some companies aren't at that point but Centre, we strive for it every day and succeed!

You get to choose one superpower, which one are you choosing and why?

Teleportation. I hate traffic and I feel that having super speed, invisibility, or flight is irrelevant when you can be somewhere instantaneously. Ever see the movie Jumper?

The main character in Jumper found that he could teleport. This became more sophisticated when he started robbing banks. He also didn't realize that he was not the only one with that power. I also can be quite lazy, I would rather teleport than physically need to do anything. Like I said, the super speed and super strength powers may not be a thing if you can teleport.

How would you describe the #ONETEAM culture at Centre?

The culture itself is to provide everyone with the same goals and standards from department to department. We all may not have the same job duties, but we all have the same goals at the end of the day.

Thank you, Nathan, for the way you sit in your director's seat and get the right shot for your customers. We can attest to the ways in which you consistently expresses his ideas with efficiency, creativity, and the audience (customers!) in mind. We are honored to have your quality details on our #ONETEAM.
