Meet Rex Kleckner: Consultant @ Centre
Rex Kleckner is equal parts hard working and equal parts interesting. He works hand in hand with our Client Support Team to provide the best and most efficient services for all our customers. He takes it as a personal obligation to make customers feel at ease and satisfied with their experience regardless of what they need. His attention to detail makes him the perfect person to provide coworkers and customers alike the feeling of being deeply understood and cared for. We're proud and incredibly honored by the way he builds our culture in new and unforgettable ways!
Like our last @ Centre feature, Rex has an uncanny ability to understand a problem and fix it quickly. We sat down with Rex to understand just how important his role is to making sure Centre provides the top tier services we're known for. Luckily, he's a pivotal part of that. Not only is he hard working and customer-minded, but Rex happens to also be one of the most fun personalities to work with (need custom woodworking? He's your guy! See his hidden talent below to learn more). Enjoy the unique experience of learning about and wanting to immediately befriend Rex Kleckner!
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An inventor and scientist. It was the creating ideas/inventions that could help people that drove me as a kid. I loved learning science with my little microscope set with all the slides and would investigate everything I could fit. My current job allows those things because I believe my job is to make a customer’s work experience better, and easier, and build that trust with Centre, no matter how small their request is. With all the new technology out there, even with current applications, I get to show clients new ways to discover/update their processes and leave them knowing Centre is innovative in all aspects (don't we love him for that??).
If you could only play one game for the rest of your life, which one and why?
Monopoly. It's how I crush my kid's dreams of what being an adult is like. Haha! It’s a teaching moment to show them everything is about balance, and thinking of how shiny items may seem great immediately, but you have to save for unexpected situations. Then I add the Dad tax of hugs which adds to their misery!
How would you describe your role’s impact on Centre customers?
A consultant's role has a very powerful and lasting impact with Centre's customers as we are the first voices they hear when they call for support. It is on the consultants to make sure the customers can call knowing they'll be taken care of with respect but also knowing we will do what it takes to resolve their issue no matter how small it may be. I take pride in being that person for each customer I get to interact with.

Do you have a hidden talent? Tell us more!
I do woodworking if I have rare downtime and enjoy making cutting boards. I fell into woodworking on a whim by building a wooden cooler with no plans for my patio. It was a Frankenstein of a project and weighed 200 lbs! I realized I enjoyed just learning to use tools the correct way and saying, “I built that!”. It became my escape as it allowed me to process life’s issues. It forces you to look at projects in different ways, just like in life. My favorite tool is a Stanley No. 5 hand plane made in 1911 I still use every time!
I tried to make a side business and sell some of it but that added more pressure to make people happy and meet their demands, which took away my creative side and meaning of woodwork, so I just like to build things and give them as gifts when possible. I love making cutting boards because it means someone is using it and hopefully making a meal so they can be closer with their family, spouse or even first dates! I like my work to have meaning to people and that’s what drives me.
I choose woodworking cause it’s my alone time, away from screens and just allows my mind to just create and learn. It also allows me to give back, if a person needs stairs or something built/fixed that may be too expensive or just labor intensive and just can’t do it, I jump in and help make their life just a little easier.
If you go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Bora Bora...love the beach and clear water so I can see what's in the ocean when swimming! It's one of the most beautiful places on earth where you can just relax and let go of everything else. (What's more, he also told us if he were to be deserted on an island - living the dream to be deserted in Bora Bora aside - Rex would take a machete, water bottle, and wifi. Typical!)
How would you describe the #ONETEAM culture at Centre?
Our #ONETEAM is a giant family that strives to deliver far beyond both internal and external expectations but also setting the bar for how, not just a tech company but businesses overall, should operate as a team. We work together and accomplish our goals every time!
In your own words, how would you describe Centre’s differentiators?
I would say it's the customer service that differentiates Centre from other competitors. I've had many calls where the end user will not just say thank you but they mention they never had such a positive IT Support experience prior. We're proud of that and we strive to always be better when it comes to helping our customers succeed at their needs and goals.
Thank you, Rex, for all you to make our team the greatest it can be. Your contributions to our success do not go unnoticed as you commit to pairing your goals with ours. Thank you for everything you do! We are proud to have you on our #ONETEAM.
