We Love Our Tech Heroes @ Centre: Denetrius, Steve, and Nikki

A tech consultant, solution architect, and support coordinator walk into the office...is this the start of a bad joke or one of the greatest @ Centre features we've done? The answer is yes. We're excited to feature 3 of our awesome teammates this month in our @ Centre series, all of which carry the heart and soul of what Centre believes in. Not only are they hard working but they have a very particular set of skills, skills they have acquired over...oh, wrong hero movie (but not wrong about the skills part).

Like our last @ Centre feature, each one of our featured team members are dedicated to providing the best quality experience, every time. But they're so much more than that.  Denetrius, a Consultant out of our Austin office, brims with confidence and joy for all she interacts with, making them feel at home as soon as you talk to her. Steve, a Solutions Architect for our newest solution, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, will wow you not only with his incredible knowledge but with his unassuming demeanor and kindness. Nikki, one of our Service Coordinators in the Dallas office, will do whatever is necessary to help a customer, fellow employee, friend, or anyone who needs it. Did we mention they're certified rockstars (not literally like Jack Clennon in Houston, but close)? All three of them exemplify different aspects of our business in mighty ways, and we love them for it. Read on to learn more about them!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Denetrius: Italy! I'm eager to indulge in authentic Italian pasta and take in the views. (Same, said Emily who writes these blogs—girls trip!)

Nikki: I would go to Japan. I have always wanted to visit and ride the Sunrise Express.

How would you describe your role’s impact on Centre customers?

Denetrius: My role ensures a positive experience resolving clients' technical issues. We facilitate proactive communication for all clients and consistency.

Steve: I act in many roles with customers depending on the circumstances. Throughout my career, I have always kept in mind that my purpose from the customers perspective is to help them fulfill their mission and objectives. In any given week I may be indirectly helping to provide housing to those in need, deliver products to a grocer, or help someone feel safe knowing their property is secure.

Nikki: When something isn't working and can't be fixed remotely, end users want a resolution ASAP. Therefore, I'm often called into situations where, for the client, it feels like the world is falling apart. I step in to find someone to go onsite when all else has failed and assure them we will be there to assist and, more often than not, resolve the issue. My role's impact on customers is that I get to be a part of getting them working again. I communicate their needs from the POD to the field resource going onsite and ensure we get there as fast as possible with any tool we may need. The confidence I have in the field team, and anyone from the POD I borrow to send onsite, is immeasurable. It's very rewarding to know that with this #ONETEAM, there's nothing we can't solve.

If you could only play once game for the rest of your life, which one and why? 

Steve: Dodgeball, because it would never be same, and it would always be terrifying.

Nikki: Red Dead Redemption 2. It is one of my favorite games and feels endless. (Why does this answer make Nikki the coolest person on earth? Because it does. I don't make the rules)

In your own words, how would you describe Centre’s differentiators?

Denetrius: At Centre we are client focused. We get to know our clients and their needs for a true partnership experience. Our mission is to exceed their goals through the use of technology.

Steve: Centre truly cares about customers and long term relationships in a way that most large companies do not. We operate with personalized service, local/small teams, and expertise that is uncommon in the industry. We have the partnerships and resources available to address the needs that make each customer unique. Our leadership does what is best for the customer knowing that it always pays off for everyone in the long-term.

Nikki: For me, Centre's differentiators revolve around the culture and the people. I learn something new from someone new, almost everyday. In every corner of Centre you will find someone with knowledge about a different subject than you, and they are always willing to help your grow by sharing that knowledge.

You get to choose one superpower, which one are you choosing and why? 

Denetrius: If I had to select one superpower, I would choose the ability to fly, thereby eliminating the need to drive or book flights to travel globally.

Steve: I would love to be able to run for days and never get tired. When the zombies come, they won't catch me. (Can you also have super human strength? Then I can just piggy back wherever you go #NoZombiesOrRunningThankYou)

Nikki: I would choose to be able to teleport myself and anything I can carry so I wouldn't have to travel via airports. I would choose to fly but I don't like heights.

If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would you choose and why?

Denetrius: If I could have dinner with anyone today, it would be my brother. I would appreciate the opportunity for him to see the woman I am today and how much I've grown professionally.

Steve: I would choose one of my ancestors from the 1700's who had the courage, or desperation, to get on a sailboat and travel from Britain to the US to start a new life. I wonder what their life was like to make the decision to leave everything behind and travel across the world as a migrant, with basically nothing in hand.

How would you describe the #ONETEAM culture at Centre?

Denetrius: An awesome team working together to help our clients achieve their business goals. Together we achieve more.

Steve: I have experienced teams from different offices and different disciplines working together to solve customer issues and provide best in market solutions. There is frequent communication between locations, departments and individual colleagues. There is in person collaboration possible, but it is the use of virtual technology that makes the #ONETEAM culture possible.

Nikki: For me, #ONETEAM culture means selflessly getting the job done the right way for the client, every time. At Centre we work together through the whole support process to deliver results. You will never run into a roadblock that someone on your team can't help you solve.
