With recent business growth, the company required PCI (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) regulatory compliance. Staying ahead of compliance and working with a limited team prevented them from effectively monitoring network traffic and alert logs 24x7. This included ineffective blocking of malicious traffic targeting endpoint devices and networks.
SOLUTION AND RESULTS
Comprehensive MDR Approach
The team deployed Endpoint Detection Response (EDR) for all end-user devices while also investing in Cloud Detection and Response (CDR). Between the two, malicious traffic was automatically blocked within minutes by isolating endpoints (EDR) or injecting TCP blocks on the network (NDR). Multi-Tenant Sensors (MTS) were also implemented to scale Managed Detection and Response (MDR) protections at the network level for seamless future deployments. The team has now established comprehensive log management (SIEM) across their entire IT ecosystem.
